THE SPACES
Industry: Creative Studio, Photography, Events The Spaces is a visionary studio concept founded by renowned stylist Sarah Akiba, offering curated environments for photography, podcasting, wellness, and events. With Sarah’s multi faceted role in fashion production and content creation, the brand needed to reflect her bold aesthetic and hands-on creative leadership. We worked closely with Sarah to her already established brand identity, as well as the creation of an intuitive scheduling platform, and a mobile-first website that speaks directly to the creative and and fashion-forward industry. Branding & Logo Design The brand’s visual identity was designed with Sarah to be both bold and personal, reflecting Sarah’s direct involvement in every aspect of the business. The logo features a clean, modern typeface combined with a hand-scripted element, symbolizing personal curation, creativity, and warmth. This duality set the tone for the experience clients could expect—elevated, yet intentionally hands-on. Space Concept & Structure: The Spaces includes four distinctive environments: • The Lab – a neutral, versatile area ideal for high-end photography and minimalist setups • The Extension – a flexible area that expands the studio’s footprint for larger productions • The Ground – a serene wellness studio that supports events centered on health and mindfulness • The Podcast Room – a fully-equipped space for content creators to produce professional-quality audio and video podcasts Each space was uniquely branded and featured across the website with imagery that captured its vibe and purpose. Website Design & Mobile UX Understanding the fashion-forward and visually driven audience, we designed a mobile-first website that was both aesthetically refined and easy to navigate. The mobile experience took top priority, reflecting the way Sarah’s audience engages with content on the go. The desktop version followed suit, maintaining elegance and usability while ensuring all functionality remained intact. Custom Scheduling Platform & Add-Ons To streamline studio operations, we developed a custom booking software that seamlessly integrates with Sarah’s Google Calendar, allowing her to manage availability in real time. The system allows users to: • View and book available time slots across all four spaces • Add on additional services like photography, models, glam teams, or fully curated production services • Receive automated confirmations and reminders This end-to-end experience was designed specifically for The Spaces, giving the business a competitive edge with its ease of use and operational flexibility. Content Integration & Community Links To highlight the high-quality work created at The Spaces, we integrated Pinterest boards directly into the site, allowing the brand’s latest content and collaborations to remain front and center. We also included social links and embedded direct access to Sarah Akiba’s podcast, “That’s So Akiba,” extending the brand’s voice and reach. The result is a digital home that feels as alive, stylish, and creative as the studio itself.
